Barista Training

 

The cultivation of a highly skilled barista staff is the cornerstone of a successful cafe. To this end True North offers free, comprehensive barista training tailored to your specific needs. Our program includes drink preparation, work-flow, speed, as well as tips to strengthen customer loyalty, basic espresso equipment knowledge and all types of non-espresso brew methods. 

Meet our Training Manager:

Lifetime Seattleite and veteran barista Carla Mokin handles all aspects of training our new and current clients. Her passion for sipping and serving the best local espresso, as well as her previous experience as a barista trainer, make her an essential part of the True North team. While attending Scripps College, Carla worked for Motley Coffee House where she was solely responsible for all aspects of barista training and quality control for a staff of 60. She is warm and engaging, and takes pride in guiding students of all skill levels towards becoming skilled baristas
